Physical exam: The best way to diagnose an abdominal wall hernia in the groin or in front of the abdomen is by physical examination. Occasionally an ultrasound or cat scan is necessary.

Have a lump. US showed asymmetric shadowing soft tissue noted to the right of umbilicus is only visualized in the upright position. This may represent herniated loop of bowel, however no definitive abdominal wall defect. Recommend CT.. Hernia?
