Dental phobia: See you receive behavioral therapy. Looks like no anxiety medications. Have you considered addressing your fear of dental numbing specifically? Consider Cognitive Behavioral therapy, psychotherapy, Exposure therapy or hypnosis to deal with your fears.

Your fear of: becoming permanently numb after a visit to the dentist is a symptom of your anxiety disorder. Mention it to the dentist and change your self-talk to something about being fortunate to be able to visit a dentist or other docs to get the help you need to stay healthy. Please see a mental health professional for treatment of your anxiety disorder. Peace and good health.
