Your fear of: becoming permanently numb after a visit to the dentist is a symptom of your anxiety disorder. Mention it to the dentist and change your self-talk to something about being fortunate to be able to visit a dentist or other docs to get the help you need to stay healthy. Please see a mental health professional for treatment of your anxiety disorder. Peace and good health.
