A member asked:

After hcg = 0 after a d&c, is there a chance of any other complications that should be checked for (just to be safe) or is hcg = 0 is an all clear ?

Follow up visit: A D and C is a safe procedure and complications are rare. If a complication occurs it typically happens during or in the first hours or days after surgery. After surgery it is best to schedule a post op visit with your surgeon to address any concerns you may have. It is not standard to check a BHCG after a surgical D and C. Nothing wrong with doing it but it's not really needed.
