Many causes of pain: There are many potential causes of persistent pain after prior rotator cuff surgery: 1. Retear of prior repaired cuff or worsening of prior debrided cuff 2. Co-existent, persistent or worsening osteoarthritis 3. Biceps tendinitis 4. Referred neck/cervical pain A thorough evaluation from a shoulder subspecialist orthopaedic surgeon may be indicated along with repat X-rays and MRI
