A member asked:

Can a fiberoadenoma in breast have cancerous lump attached to it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fibroadenoma: Fibroadenoma is a benign well circumscribed tumor with two components, epithelium and stroma. Only very rarely is the epithelium found to be atypical enough to be called carcinoma in situ and much more rarely to have invasive cancer. Another tumor called phyllodes Tumor can resemble Fibroadenoma closely and does have malignant variants. Good pathology exam is useful here.
