See the calculation: Hi Amanda, Take your child's weight in kilograms, multiply it by 12, then divide it by 6. That's how many milligrams of the guaifensin is recommended for each dose. The bottle should list the concentration of the medicine, usually 100mg in 5ml. It should be in the range of 100-200mg. Hope your child feels better soon!
