Citrus-y smelling urine/rapid weight loss. i try to stay very hydrated and have been under a lot of stress. urine and blood tests were negative. help?

2 things: You might have the urine/blood redone, and you may want to consult with an Endocrinologist. Don't know your age, but the rapid weight loss is of concern. Sweet smelling urine often indicative of diabetes,but would expect to show in blood workup. Check back with your MD and get referral as needed. Stay on it until you get it diagnosed and treated. Endocrinologist: Uncontrolled diabetes and hyperthyroidism(overactive thyroid) are two common causes of rapid weight loss. I assume your tests have ruled out both. Could it be that your food intake has decreased because of so much stress? I recommend that you consult an endocrinologist and, perhaps, a psychiatrist who specializes in stress management therapy.
