what mental exams can be performed on the elderly?

MMSE, MoCA, CDT etc: There are many mental exams available for use in elderly. Much depends upon available time as well as familiarity. Alzheimer's drugs are often approved based upon CIBIC-Plus & ADAS-cog but these are not used in regular practice b/c too time consuming. MMSE is copywritten. MoCA & SLUMS are freely available. Clock Drawing Test is useful even if illiterate though maybe not in future generations!
