Not to worry: They are only contraindicated in someone with dementia, especially if they are being treated with medications that have the opposite action. Best wishes.

No!: Amitryptiline is an excellent medication for a variety of conditions (eg migraine prevention) the dose is quite low too . The commonest side effect is dryness of the mouth.
