Very: Ranibizumab is one of four injectable medications currently available for treatment of wet (exudative) macular degeneration. The others are pegaptanib, bevacizumab and aflibercept. Pegaptanib is not used much anymore because it does not work as well. The other three agents work very similarly. In about 40% of eyes vision improves by 2 of more lines, and 90% + have stabilization or improvement.
