Indirectly: This medication is an antibiotic, intended to treat your colon infection, diverticulitis. You likely have a second antibiotic. When your colon responds to the antibiotic and heals, your pain will decrease. Get evaluated sooner if fever or vomiting occur. Take a friend with you to doc appointments. Be well.
