A member asked:

What is an example of a faith-based barrier in regards to medical procedures?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pray for Health: A common finding is folks whose faith will not allow them to accept blood or blood products. This can limit surgery and other treatments that cause bleeding. Another is the belief that medical care is not necessary if one prays. Important to know that prayer is answered in many ways, like sending doctors and blood to save the day. Being a Doctor is a calling, and having a good one, a blessing.
