Steroid risks: Steroids are used to treat inflammation of eye parts (cornea, sclera, conjunctiva, uvea), severe dry eye, and scar tissues of eye parts. Risks of long term use: high eye pressure which can cause glaucoma (nerve damage) if left untreated & cataract (which can be surgically removed if needed).
