Incorrect: hypertension as a disease is a very common entity-millions of patients receive anesthetics despite of this. If very high blood pressure discovered for the first time before an elective procedure, postponing of surgery, diagnosis and treatment of it might be warranted due to potential risk of hemodynamic instability perioperatively, that can lead to complications like heart attacks and strokes
