Worth getting checkd: Often times swollen glands are simply your body fighting off an infecton, and can sometimes stay swollen for some time. However, i advise getting these checked if they stay swollen for more than a few weeks. Usually some simple blood tests are adequate, or sometimes a biopsy of the glands nearest the skin surface.

Node vs Saliva gland: Depending on location, swelling in the head and neck area may be one of more lymph nodes or one or more salivary glands. Painless swelling without recent infection or trauma in the area needs to be evaluated. I recommend a visit to your primary provider or an ent/ otolaryngologist.
