Aleve (naproxen) for AS: It may mildly help your symptoms, but depending on the severity of the disease you may want to consider seeing a rheumatologist for other medications that actually treat AS.

It varies from : Person to person. Currently there isn't a favorite NSAIDs for treating AS at this time as long as you use it at anti inflammatory dose. Therefore, for Aleve (naproxen) is 2 tabs twice a day at schedule dose not as needed base. If it does not work you may try a different NSAIDs. Once again, take extra precaution with long term use of NSAIDs as it may cause kidney failure, gastric ulcer, cardiovascular issue.
