A member asked:

I have lumps in the rectal area that hurt and i don't know what to do. there's no bleeding?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lumps: If those lumps are purple and soft and compressible, they may be hemorrhoids. Or they could be skin tags that grew as your body's way of healing from anal fissures (cuts) due to constipation. Less commonly they may be due to a condition such as Crohn's disease. You should have your doctor examine them to see what they might be.
