Altered muscle tone: The characteristic abnormality of cerebral palsy is an alteration of muscle tone. In most cases it is an increase in resistance to passive movement called spasticity. There are some children who have a marked decrease in tone caled hypotonia. There may or not be intellectual deficits associated with the motor abnormality.

A Pediatrician should do a complete exam and you might mention your concerns so that if there is anyquestion-referral
