Not sure: How they are similar. Gastritis is a term used to refer to inflammation of the lining of the stomach which can be due to many causes. Pregnancy is just that "pregnancy". To be honest both can share the symptoms consisting of epigastric pain, nausea, and vomiting. If you want to be sure of what's going on just complete a home pregnancy test!
