Flaxseed: I have tried Flaxseed but had no measurable success. However if you have high triglycerides at 28 that could be a precursor for Diabetes later in life. I suggest you check with your primary care Doc. Dr G

Maybe: But not the most potent treatment. Talk with your primary care physician to help you choose the proper diet to follow and if your lipids are really out of bounds then a RX may be in order. At your age I'm glad to see you are paying attention to your health. Remember you are what you eat.

If your level is below 250, you do not need to worry. Losing weight, exercise and reduction in carbohydrates and fats are effective.
