80-100 fasting: Normal results depend slightly on individual lab. If slightly abnormal (high) can be due to any carbohydrates or sugars eaten recently especially in last 2 hrs before test. If slightly abnormal additional tests - hemoglobin A1c (glycohemoglobin), 2 hour post prandial (eating) blood sugar, or full glucose tolerance test can be done if necessary to determine if diabetes is present.
