Cycle variations: The cyclic hormonal changes of the menstrual cycle are quite complex and can be easily thrown out of sync. Stress, natural hormone fluctuations and medications can affect them. If you did two reliable pregnancy tests after missing a period, pregnancy, while not impossible, is unlikely. Unless you get symptoms like abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever, it's okay to "wait & see" for a while.
