A member asked:

He sleeps in his eye open, what could be the cause of that. is that anything bad?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: If the eyes are open a little, it is probably not bad. If open enough so that dryness irritates the surface of the eye, then that needs to be corrected. Eyes stay open during sleep with Graves disease, tumors behind the eye, and lid dysfunction. If the eyes are red and/or the vision is being affected, then see your ophthalmologist.
