Inflamation or?: Hi Martin 820 Its normal to 'hear' a slight clunking sound when you move the thyroid cartilage side to side..its more a feeling than a sound sometimes. And some noise when swallowing is normal too. If this is new, consider asking for a referral to an ENT practitioner who can help you figure this out.
