Why has dianette got a bad reputation? i'm using it to control my idiopathic hirsutism, so why am i being advised by a doctor on here not to use it?

Appropriate: Dianette is a birth control pill: it contains ethinyl estradiol and cyproterone acetate. It has the same risks and benefits as any other birth control pill. Although not available in the US it has been in use worldwide for many years and is appropriate treatment for idiopathic hirsutism. We cannot (and should not) prescribe on Healthtap so no doctor here should tell you to take it or not.
