Bacterial vaginosis?: Vaginal odor is usually due to bacterial vaginosis, an overgrowth of mostly normal vaginal bacteria. As you have noticed, the odor is often fishy; it also can be most prominent after sex. Trichomonas, an STD, causes similar odor; so do foreign bodies in the vagina, like a forgotten tampon. See your doctor; this should be easy to diagnose and treat. Good luck!
