Lingual tonsils: What you are describing is lingual tonsils and they pose no harm and often go away on it's own. If concerned, see your dentist for consultation. Best of luck.

Salivary gland: There are 2 salivary glands under the tongue. Sometimes when you open your mouth to yawn you may have seen saliva squirt out of your mouth . these are the culprits doing that. They can get partially blocked, irritated, or sore, but usually resolve quickly. Take a look. If this persists, see the Oral Surgeon for examination and diagnosis and tx options. Good Luck.
