Monobenzone: Ultraviolet B and psoralen-ultraviolet A (PUVA) are used to repigment skin that still has functioning melanocytes. in the white patches. To bleach and blend surrounding skin to match the white skin with no functional or no detectable pigment cells, calls for an assessment by a board certified dermatologist expert in vitiligo. Monbenzone is used in the skin with active functional pigmentation.
