Symptoms include: Headache, muscle fatigue and general weakness, joint pains, sometimes rash, fever/chills/ or cold sweats, maybe sore throat, maybe abdominal pain. These are all "flu-like".

Help! I had an exposure 6 months ago, and I am scared of hiv. At 4.5 months I had cold/flu symptoms. After the symptoms resolved i got a rapid hiv test and it was negative. If my symptoms were due to hiv, would it have shown a positive result?
