Abnormal mucosa in the upper third of the of the esophagus at 18 cm. larger then normal. biopsies done. what is this likely to be?

Upper Esophagus: A significant number of people have a patch of non-squamous mucosa in the upper third of the esophagus. It sometimes is stomach-like in appearance, but does not have any risk associated with it of cancer/Barretts' esophagus nor does it suggest reflux disease.
