Not very safe: Nitrotrofurantin ( Macrobid ) has inter reactions with several drugs alcohol , antacids etc may lose its effective- ness. Speak to your doctor , may switch to an antibiotic instead of Macrobid ( which is used less often now ) Antibiotic is better will not interfere with contraceptives
