Depends: If by nhs you mean usa national health service (not a native american reservation) providers, probably not true, but also not available. These are services are primarily in low income, rural, and underserved areas and consist almost exclusively of primary care doctors, not specialized bariatric surgeons. To my knowledge, it is not an insurance plan, but a way to get care to outlying areas.
