More bypassed bowel: This is a weight loss operation that's similar to standard gastric bypass, except that the amount of intestines diverted is longer than typical. In this operation, the stomach is divided and a small pouch of stomach is connected to a portion of the small intestines (the jejunum), thereby skipping over the rest of the stomach and duodenum. "long-limb" referrs to how much intestines is skipped over.
