Discuss with doctor: Eye doctor and/or OB. Cosopt eye drops should only be used during pregnancy if her healthcare provider believes that the benefits to her outweigh the possible risks to the fetus. In animal studies, extremely high doses during pregnancy caused problems for both the mother and the fetuses. However, these doses were so high that the same problems are unlikely in humans taking a normal dose.

Cosopt: There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. COSOPT should be used during pregnancy only if thel benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.
