Maybe: Depends on when the operation was, among other things. Everyone responds to surgery differently. Its normal to have occasional aches and pains at the site if a surgical scar for years. If its severe, or limiting your activity, see your surgeon for a follow up exam. Hope this helps!

Yes.: It is important to avoid sun exposure to a new scar. If the scar thickens, I wound consider a steroid ointment and consult with your family physician.
