Borborygmi: A 'bubbly' stomach is call borborygmi and is a very nonspecific symptom. Irritable bowel syndrome is a common condition to have which is characterized by borborygmi and can be worse around menstrual cycles. However, IBS usually also has abdominal pain and either diarrhea or constipation.
