Anxiety: There really is no such thing as a "best" med for anything. There's only that particular medication that you just so happen to respond well to, and in the correct dosage. I would also suggest finding a reputable psychotherapist who specializes in anxiety disorders and social phobia.

Ask the pharmacist: for an SSRI.Prozac, (fluoxetine)and meds chemically similar,R the best tolerated,non addicting, most generally effective for this problem.They take a few weeks to reach maximum effect.Most common side effect is sexual dysfunctionand there is a problem with "poop out" after several months,but they can be lifechanging.Good luck
