Sterilizing scopes: in our office, we follow the manufacturer's suggestions for sterilizing our scopes: we use Cidex, a disinfectant/antibacterial/antiviral solution which kills all bacteria and virus, including HPV and AIDs viruses. We then rinse off the solution and allow it to air dry before it is considered sterile and ready for use again. The entire process takes about 30 minutes.
