Can choking on sun flower seed shells cause scaring in the trachea or any area of the windpipe?

PCP: If the shells are lodged in the wind pipe this would be associated with respiratory difficulty. It is more likely that there is irritation in your throat or esophagus. If there is any continued problem, please check with your PCP.
