It should work, but.: I notice in your description of you that you don't drink alcohol - what changed? Often people w/ GERD pay a pain price from drinking. Some don't, but please do be very moderate! That's always a good idea, but especialkly true if you have chronic conditions. Enjoy a balanced life and it should be okay. If it hurts, don't do it. Best!

Bad idea: alcohol aggravates the lining of the esophagus and stomach causes more irritaion
