See OFP specialist: TMJ pain syndrome may be the result of a single disorder or a combination of several factors, neck, face and headache. bppv, clicking, popping, etc. Due to the overlap of symptoms and diagnostic complexity, patients are often misdiagnosed. See Orofacial Pain specialist for diagnosis and treatment.

Specializes in Surgery - Oral & Maxillofacial

TMJ vs ear: "Ears" popping may be TMJ joint popping or clicking. With your BPPV symptoms, I would check with your ENT doc first. If TMJ is diagnosed, see a TMJ specialist. Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD, your dentist and your dental society for referrals.
