Good question: To ask your surgeon as he knows the procedure done, the diagnosis, if you had a cast on etc etc....

Not unusual: Need to see your doctor to make sure bandage or cast not too tight. It may just be from swelling around the nerve or ligament.

Shooting pain: When a tourniquet is used it can result in injured nerve (s). The best course is to speak to your surgeon as only that person knows what was done. Good luck.
