A member asked:

It's common using clomid (clomiphene) to have decreased mucus prior to ovulation, and an iui may be needed, how can i detect this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cervical mucus: Usually around the time of ovulation cervical mucus is very apparent. It is usually long and stringy. But sometimes on Clomid (clomiphene) the mucus is decreased somewhat. Usually the mucus is thicker and less penetrable. Sometimes I recommend patient's to use Robitussin or guaifenesin to thin mucus.
