Protected Info: Hippa is the federal agency who's job it is to protect out privacy in healthcare related issues. Hippa has published well defined rules and regulations regarding medical records. Information placed in the medical record can never be removed. One has the right to inspect their records and offer written corrections. The provider may or may not accept the changes. All this becomes part of the record.
