Rest: If u have 'strained' or partially torn your quads the best treatment is rest , thigh sleeve, ice packs( first 24 hrs.) A common problem is re- injuring the muscle by returning to sports too quickly( esp.acceleration, running , jumping sports). Quad strains( similar to proximal hamstring strains) may take 6-8 weeks to heal completely.MRI scans can be helpful if pain persists longer. Best of Luck!

Pulled muscle : Try rest and ice. Motrin or Tylenol (acetaminophen) may help or even over the counter rubs. But if pain persists you have to see your doctor. Get better soon
