While taking a drink of water from a water fountain some water went up my nose but it did not sting. can you get naegleria fowleri from this?

Unlikely: The organism is a free living amebae of world wide distribution that could transform itself from a trophozoit phase to a flagella form in distiller water and cause infection of the brain in healthy children or young adult. Extremely uncommon. Very few cases reported in the literature.

Extraordinarily: unlikely. The water would need to have been inadequately treated/ chlorinated.
