Viral Exanthum : The level of contagion drops significantly once a child has been fever free without medications for 24 hours. Viral rashes often take much longer to resolve but should not prohibit school or daycare attendance. An exception would be chickenpox, which should be considered contagious until all lesions are scanned and dry.
