When you feel extremely hot in relatively cool environment vs a typical fever, how do you know you are running a fever w/o thermometer?

Unlikely, if you are: healthy. Thrush is caused by the Candida fungus, which is very common, and you may already have some fungal elements present in your mouth. When a person's immunity is altered from illness or drugs, such as viral infection, diabetes, chemotherapy, steroids or oral antibiotics, the fungus multiplies until it becomes clinically noticeable and then is called thrush.

You can't unless: you are shaking followed by overheating and perspiration - usually associated with a very high fever, you can't tell without measuring it. You can buy a good thermometer for less than $25 today.
