Teach living skills: Occupational therapists assist patients to improve their ability to function in life by focusing on improvement of activities and instrumental activities of daily living. They assess motor and cognitive abilities and assist people w/ disabilities in grooming, bathing, dressing themselves, & functioning in a work place. They counsel, help clients problem solve & teach the use of adaptive equipment.
