What is the cause of nerve pain on left side of head and down left side of body with nausea ?

Thalamic pain: can produce pain on one side of the body (including the head). The clinical course may help with sorting out what is going on. Is this jolts of pain, progressive episodes of pain and are there any other symptoms besides nausea? Does change in body position relative to gravity affect the pain ? You need to have this worked up.
